Salt Spring Island

Located on the traditional territories of the Coast Salish People, Salt Spring Island has always been a place of refuge & adventure. Surrounded by the Salish Sea, between Vancouver Island and BC's Lower Mainland, Salt Spring Island is about half way between Nanaimo and Victoria. Salt Spring has been recognized as a world-class destination for kayaking and is currently home to over 11,000 year round residents. It offers Lakefront, Oceanfront, View Homes, Vacation Properties and Rural Acreages.

Pender Island

Pender Island is one of the Southern Gulf Islands located in the Gulf of Georgia, British Columbia, Canada. Pender Island is approximately 34 km² in area and is home to about 2,250 permanent residents, as well as a large seasonal population. Like most of the rest of the Southern Gulf Islands, Pender Island enjoys a sub-Mediterranean climate and features open farmland, rolling forested hills, several lakes and small mountains, as well as many coves and beaches.

Mayne Island

Mayne Island is a 21-square-kilometre island in the southern Gulf Islands chain of British Columbia. It is midway between the Lower Mainland of BC and Vancouver Island, and has a population of 995. Mount Parke in the south-central heart of the island is its highest peak at 255 metres.

Galiano Island

Beautiful, comfortable and always welcoming, Galiano Island is the perfect place to get away. When you've had your fill of hiking, whale watching, fishing and golf, you'll find plenty of friendly spots to shop locally, eat and raise a glass to another wonderful day on Galiano.

Saturna Island

Saturna Island is a mountainous island, about 31 square kms in size, in the Southern Gulf Islands chain of British Columbia, Canada. It is surrounded on three sides by the Canada–United States border. Approximately half of the island is in the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve. There is also a large First Nations reserve on the island. The island has a permanent population of around 350, although that number increases significantly during the busy summer season.

The Islands Trust Area is situated within the territories of the Coast Salish Peoples and sits at the centre of the many gathering places and villages of these strong and vibrant First Nations.

Capital Regional District

Salt Spring Island is located just off the east coast of Vancouver Island and is the largest and most densely populated of the Gulf Islands. Salt Spring Island is an unincorporated rural Electoral District under the jurisdiction of the Capital Regional District (CRD). The CRD serves as the local government for electoral areas and most administrative functions are handled from the SSI CRD Administrative Office.

Island Trust - Island Land Planning & Conservancy

The region features spectacular beauty, extensive archaeological and culturally important sites, and some of the world’s most endangered and precious ecosystems. The Islands Trust Area covers 5200 square kms & includes 13 major islands, 450 smaller islands and is home to 26,000 residents, 10,000 non-resident property owners and 28,000 Coast Salish People. The object of the Trust is to preserve and protect the Trust Area and its unique amenities and environment for the benefit of the residents.
